Cosmonautics Day
The spaceship with first cosmonaut was launched in USSR. It was 50 years ago. He was the Soviet citizen and Soviet Airforce pilot, and his name was Yuri A. Gagarin.

Aikilife: Sensei, welcome to Novosibirsk. It’s great honour for us to meet you again.
Jacques Payet: Thank you. It’s a pleasure for me to arrive to your city again.
Aikilife: Osu, Sensei. On the last year seminar you told us, that you decided to start training in Aikido after watching the technique of Shioda Gozo Sensei. What did you personally for yourself see on that tape?
Jacques Payet: Yes. It was an old, old movie of Shioda Gozo demonstration. I saw very tiny, small person, very easily and smoothly throwing very big people. So, it was looking very beautiful, very fast and very dynamic, and they were doing that, while smiling. So I saw that, what the kind of martial art, I wanted to do. (more…)
Report about Aikido Yoshinkan seminar under the guidance of Jacques Payet Sensei. Novosibirsk, 17-22 Feb 2011
Prologue
There is a good tradition in Novosibirsk to invite Aikido Yoshinkan Masters in February, and this tradition is maintained through years. It’s about -30 degrees outside – good Siberian weather, but this fact is unusual for invited persons. But this year the weather put us in a spot – it was about -7 degrees outside – almost summer days!
It was spent about half of year after the Aikido Yoshinkan 2010 seminar, which turned our minds in Aikido principles understanding, and Federation Council picked up a question about next seminar and its leader again. After the consultations with Jacques Payet Sensei and with permission of Yasuhisa Shioda Kancho it was decided to manage the seminar of 2011 under the guidance of Payet Sensei again. From our side we said: “Osu!” and began preparing of the action wished by all Novosibirsk Aikido Yoshinkan students. (more…)

New Year Celebration for our little Aikidokas in “Sunny”-club
There wiil be the celebration of New Year for our little students in “Sunny”-club on the 26th of December in 3:00 pm.
If your child wants to participate in it, you should call me or register in participants list of your instructor.
In the celebration program there will be:
- meeting with Santa and his Snow Maiden
- round dance around New Year tree
- remarkable New Year presents

IV Siberian Aikido Festival
IV Siberian Aikido Festival will take place on the 31-st of October in Novosibirsk under the guidance of 4 Aikido organizations of Novosibirsk-city and Siberian Region of Russia:
- Siberian Yoshinkan Aikido Federation
- Siberian Centre of Aikido and Aiki-Jiutsu Development “Dynamic Sphere”
- Aikido Club “Gakumon Dojo Novosibirsk”
- Aikido Club “Jikishinkai Novosibirsk”
This action is traditional for Aikido students and instructor staffs of Aikido Clubs and Federations of Siberian Region of Russia for the last few years, and it is realized for exchange of experience between different Aikido styles, Aikido and health life-style popularization in Siberia and Russia in-general, and involvement to martial arts life-style of all-ages people.

15:20 – 16:20 Children training.

Teacher Day
Today is remarkable holiday in Russia – Teacher Day. In conection with it I’d like to send my greetings to instructor staff of Siberian Yoshinkan Aikido Federation. Besides, I’d like to congratulate all staffs of other Yoshinkan Aikido Federations, other Aikido Federations and other martial arts in general.
I wish you be salt of the earth!
And the most important.
On behalf of all Shosetsu Kan members I’d like to send our greetings to all our Yoshinkan Teachers, and first of all, of course:
Shioda Yasuhisa Kancho Sensei – Head of Aikido Yoshinkan
Jacques Payet Sensei – Head of Mugenjuku Dojo, Shihan of Honbu, Technical Director of Shosetsu Kan.
And to Takeno Sensei, Ando Sensei, Sonoda Sensei, Chino Sensei, Oyamada Sensei et al, whose Novosibirsk photos have not exist yet, but, we hope, will be!
Birthday of Gozo Shioda Sensei
Today, on the 9th of September is the 95th birthday of Gozo Shioda Sensei – Founder of Aikido Yoshinkan. This day is a great holiday for all people, who keeps loyalty to the principles of Aikido Yoshinkan development.
Gozo Shioda Sensei passed away more than 16 years ago, but our memory about this Great Master will never die.
Knowledge Day
All Russian pupils and teachers celebrate Knowledge Day today. There is the Day also in former Republics of former USSR.
Traditionally this day all pupils come to schools in festive clothes with bunches of flowers to their teachers.
And so I did, when I was so young.
And it was very wonderful!
Though this day means a beginning of hardful work, as for me, it was a desired day.
I wish, it was the same for modern pupils.
To all of them – Congratulations!
