Knowledge Day
All Russian pupils and teachers celebrate Knowledge Day today. There is the Day also in former Republics of former USSR.
Traditionally this day all pupils come to schools in festive clothes with bunches of flowers to their teachers.
And so I did, when I was so young.
And it was very wonderful!
Though this day means a beginning of hardful work, as for me, it was a desired day.
I wish, it was the same for modern pupils.
To all of them – Congratulations!
Birthday of Siberian Yoshinkan Aikido Federation
Six years ago the name “Siberian Yoshinkan Aikido Federation” was officially registered.

And, though there was a rain, Shosetsu Kan members perform the enbu on the grass of stadium remarkably! We’d like to say great thanks member of Soviet District of Novosibirsk administration Evgeniy A. Gorlanov for invitation to the festival, senior instructor of Shosetsu Kan Yuriy V. Poletaev for enbu organization, senior students of Shosetsu Kan: Yuriy Lebedev, Vyacheslav Kuzmin, Andrey Shevyrin – for perfect performing of Yoshinkan techniques, members of “Aikido out of limits” group, our Aiki-grandies – for a courage, because they performed Kihon dosa to kanren waza in the downpour only on the grass!

New training year
I don’t know why, but summer in Russia – holiday time . And this time some part of students likes to rest and relax. As a result of this fact we have to correct training schedule, to join some groups etc.
I am glad to declare that this summer goes to its unlogical end (unlike of European part of Russian Federation, where this summer went crazy, there wasn’t normal summer in Siberia as usual), and from September 2010 a new training year will start. In view of this fact we, instructor staff of Siberian Yoshinkan Aikido Federation, are glad to see on tatami our students again and all beginners, who will wish to join us first time.
Training schedule is preparing and will publish on the site of Shosetsu Kan and my site soon.
Keep your eyes on the news!
